L'idea di "Zoe" il robot della qualità nasce da 6 studenti della Scuola per l'Europa di Parma (classi S7 sezioni IT/EN/FR) durante la loro work experience presso l'azienda farmaceutica GSK, a San Polo di Torrile, durante il mese di giugno 2024-25.
Durante il percorso fatto gli studenti hanno avuto modo di visitare i laboratori chimici dell'azienda e venire a conoscenza della realtà dei cobot per logistica. Da qui l'idea del loro progetto di pensare ad una soluzione per migliorare il controllo qualità dei laboratori chimici, ideando qualcosa che potesse essere di miglioramento ai lavoratori nel dovere fare il controllo ad occhio nudo ed anche per essere più efficienti nei controlli a livello di sicurezza e salute ed efficienza produttiva.
ZOE quindi deve essere visto come un cobot di aiuto e non di sostituzione per eliminare dei lavoratori. Il funzionamento di Zoe è di comunicare mediante sistemi LIMS ossia software di gestione dati di laboratorio, aggiornando automaticamente i dati. Eccoci quindi nella Transizione 4.0 di un controllo qualità con software di intelligenza artificiale. Zoe, tramite visione artificiale, ispeziona campioni, rileva contaminazioni e difetti. Inoltre essendo un sistema intelligente può apprendere dai dati per migliorare la rilevazione di anomalie. Una riduzione di rischi per gli operatori può impattare sugli aspetti burocratici dell'industria. Il progetto ha comportato per gli studenti un lavoro di equipe, supportati dai tutor e si è tradotto in un lavoro finale con un business plan con i dettagli dei costi di gestione, acquisto, magazzino e analisi facendo un confronto senza Zoe ed efficienza di miglioramento, presentandolo alla fine del programma ai leader aziendali e ai docenti di riferimento. Gli studenti hanno cercato di capire in che modo le tecnologie digitali utilizzate possano contribuire al raggiungimento degli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile dell'Agenda 2030.

Project: “L’oltretomba nella letteratura pre-dantesca”

Diventare protagonisti dell’apprendimento. Gli studenti di italiano L1 hanno studiato il tema dell’oltretomba nella letteratura antica, seguendo l’approccio della flipped classroom. Guidati dalla docente, hanno analizzato i versi di Virgilio, Omero e Ovidio, per interrogarsi sul significato simbolico del viaggio di Enea, Odisseo e Orfeo nell’aldilà.

Project: “The Afterlife in Pre-Dantean Literature”

Becoming active participants in learning. Italian L1 students explored the theme of the underworld in ancient literature using a flipped classroom approach. Guided by their teacher, they analysed passages by Virgil, Homer and Ovid in order to reflect on the symbolic meaning of the journeys of Aeneas, Odysseus and Orpheus into the afterlife.

The students met with Mr. Mark Russell Waterman, a former Management and IT consultant (USA). During this meeting, the students had the opportunity to discuss relevant topics such as the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the job market and the inner workings of the business world. Mr. Waterman provided valuable insights to the students by sharing his working experience as a consultant. The students were very engaged and asked targeted questions.

Uscita didattica – Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci”, Milano

Nell’ambito del percorso interdisciplinare del primo semestre, dedicato alla scoperta del Rinascimento, della scienza e della tecnologia, le classi quinte del Ciclo primario hanno partecipato a un’uscita didattica al Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci” di Milano.
Il percorso ha previsto l’attività “Spazio: ieri, oggi e domani”, un viaggio nella storia dell’esplorazione spaziale da Galileo alle missioni contemporanee, e l’iLab Leonardo, laboratorio interattivo ispirato al metodo di lavoro di Leonardo, in cui gli alunni hanno sperimentato in modo concreto il funzionamento delle macchine per il volo.
L’esperienza ha contribuito allo sviluppo del pensiero scientifico e critico, della creatività, dello spirito di iniziativa e delle competenze collaborative, rafforzando i collegamenti tra arte, scienza e tecnologia, ed è stata accolta con grande entusiasmo da tutti, piccoli e grandi.
As part of the interdisciplinary programme of the first semester, focused on the discovery of the Renaissance, science and technology, the fifth-grade classes of the Primary Cycle took part in an educational visit to the National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci” in Milan.
The programme included the activity “Space: Past, Present and Future”, a journey through the history of space exploration from Galileo to contemporary missions, as well as the iLab Leonardo, an interactive workshop inspired by Leonardo’s working method, where students had the opportunity to experiment hands-on with the functioning of flying machines.
The experience contributed to the development of scientific and critical thinking, creativity, initiative and collaborative skills, strengthening the links between art, science and technology, and was met with great enthusiasm by everyone, both young and old.

Quali sono le peculiarità che rendono unica la cultura di un Paese? Ci sono elementi affini tra le tradizioni che contraddistinguono la storia di un popolo? Gli studenti di italiano L3 hanno confrontato lo stile di vita del loro Paese d’origine con quello del Bel Paese, raccontando curiosità e “shock” culturali. Un’opportunità in più per apprezzare la multiculturalità della nostra scuola.

What are the distinctive features that make a country’s culture unique? Are there shared elements among the traditions that shape the history of people? Italian L3 students compared the lifestyle of their country of origin with that of the Bel Paese, sharing curiosities and cultural “shocks”. An additional opportunity to appreciate the multicultural nature of our school.

On Thursday we had had the pleasure of welcoming back our returning S5 mobility students with a celebratory breakfast and feedback session.
Our mobility exchange students have spent the first four months of the school year studying in another European school. This year we have sent and hosted 14 students from Frankfurt, The Hague, Helsinki, Luxembourg, and Brussels (I, III, and IV). We were very pleased to hear how valuable our students found the experience and how they were welcomed by their host families and schools. The students were enthusiastic about their opportunity to immerse themselves in another cultural setting, often in their second or third language and described how welcoming both the schools and host families were.
The teachers and students in Parma have enjoyed welcoming our host students and we know from experience, that long lasting friendships and connections will have been established.

Project: “Fiumi e laghi in Europa: un itinerario di viaggio”

Studiare l'Europa, conoscere le sue caratteristiche morfologiche, focalizzandosi sull’elemento alla base della nascita delle civiltà: l’acqua.
Gli alunni della S2 IT, nell’ambito del percorso di geografia previsto dal Syllabo, hanno scelto un fiume o un lago europeo e hanno realizzato itinerari di viaggi di tre giorni, suggerendo percorsi nella natura, bellezze artistiche da visitare e specialità gastronomiche da gustare. Come ogni anno, la compagnia teatrale Materlingua di Roma propone alle scuole uno spettacolo in lingua francese. Lo spettacolo di quest’anno si intitola “Montecristo” e si ispira all’opera di Alexandre Dumas “Le comte de Monte-Cristo".
Essendo lo spettacolo in lingua francese, parteciperanno gli alunni francofoni del
secondario del primo grado ma anche quelli che studiano la lingua come L2, L3 e
L4 delle classi S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 e S6.

Educational Outing – Attendance at a French-language Theatre Performance
The French Department (L1 and L2-3-4), Prof. Dozin and Prof. Henry, informs you that, as every year, the Materlingua theatre company from Rome offers schools a performance in French.
This year’s show, entitled “Montecristo,” is inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ novel “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
As the performance will be in French, participating students will include native French-speaking pupils from lower secondary school as well as those studying French as L2, L3, and L4 in classes S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6.

Sortie pédagogique – Participation à un spectacle de théâtre en langue française
Le Département de Français (L1 et L2-3-4), professeures Dozin et Henry, vous informe que, comme chaque année, la compagnie théâtrale Materlingua de Rome met-en-scène un spectacle en langue française pour les élèves du collège et du lycée.
Le spectacle de cette année, intitulé « Montecristo », s’inspire de l’œuvre d’Alexandre Dumas « Le Comte de Monte-Cristo ».
Étant donné que la représentation se déroulera en langue française, les élèves francophones du collège ainsi que les élèves qui étudient le français comme L2, L3 et L4 des classes S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 et S6 y participeront.
